July is Oregon Craft Beer Month

July is Oregon Craft Beer Month

July is shaping up to be a fantastic month for live music. I don’t have any specific Fourth of July suggestions for you because I always watch fireworks off the Morrison Bridge and have a potluck with friends and it suits me fine.

Shows You Don’t Want to Miss

The month starts out with a Portland tradition, the Waterfront Blues Fest. July 1st – 4th.

Friday, July 1st is Rihanna/Nicki/Beyonce Night at Holocene.

Thanks and Moon by You will be at Mississippi Studios Saturday, July 2nd.

Sunday, July 3rd Die Robot plays at Star Theater.

If fireworks aren’t your thing, catch Máscaras at Dig a Pony on July 4th.

VERY excited about this one – Phantoms supporting Health at Mississippi Studios on Tuesday, July 5th! Not so into Health, very big fan of Phantoms. Saw them support Beat Connection last year and it was a phenomenal performance.

New Zealanders Yumi Zouma play Holocene Thursday, July 7th. Their new album, Yoncalla, is addictive.

Second Fridays are always Believe You Me at The Liquor Store. Always packed and for good reason.

July 9th is the Mississippi Street Fair! You will find me at the Skidmore Stage for this fantastic line up:

4:20-5:00 pm – Dreckig
5:20-6:00 pm – My Body
6:20-7:10 pm – Tiburones
7:30-8:30 pm – Máscaras

Thursday, July 14th Down Gown plays The Know.

The 80s are back! Nu Shooz plays Marylhurst University on Friday, July 15th.

To shake off the week, head to Holocene for A Possible History of Dance Music on Friday, July 15th. It’s now every third Friday!
