This will be short and sweet. I needed some time to rebuild myself from ground zero. This is a relaunch of me. I am back, stronger and better than ever. I left Stuttgart and never looked back. Berlin continues to dazzle me and I’m so glad I moved here just over two years ago.
I started a new career trajectory as a legal assistant for a huge international law firm at Potsdamer Platz. From thirteen floors up, the view is breathtaking.
You simply can’t keep a good woman down. I have a beautiful group of amazing friends, and you will find us all over town. Trendy speakeasies, buzzworthy galleries, film festivals, underground techno clubs, live readings, hole-in-the-wall jazz joints, cultural parades, museum exhibit openings…Berlin has it all, and we are in the front row.
I was even recently interviewed for a fantastic podcast, How to get THE job with Giedre. Getting to know Giedre and preparing for the episode was a surprisingly lovely process. I felt proud of myself and confident again.
I moved to Berlin with a broken heart, no job and no friends. I now have love, a job with a bright future and security, and so many gorgeous friends, I don’t have enough hours in a day to see them all. People who meet me now cannot believe how far I’ve come in just over two years.
What can you expect from this new version of my blog? A biweekly exploration of my life and the city of Berlin, sometimes light and sometimes very dark. Remember, you can come back from anything. And the best in your life is always yet to come!
Hugs, Steph
