LOGLINE:
Two Americans, married to the wrong people, meet in Berlin and grapple with the ephemeral nature of love and the challenge of expat life.
“NETFLIX” DESCRIPTION:
Heather and Michael, two American expats with German spouses, meet one night at a party and discover they are kindred spirits. As easy friendship develops into the beginnings of something deeper, both must weigh the halcyon rush of new love against the responsibility of lives fully in progress – even if they are married to the “wrong” person. This film meditates on the major themes of modern life: What is the meaning of family? Are first world countries truly “post-race” societies? What price are we willing to pay for happiness? Who is to blame when we fall out of love…if anyone?
